Bittersweet Farm is owned and operated by Danielle & Ryan Murray. With its 8 1/2 acres, consisting of 7 different varieties of blueberries, you and your family will thoroughly enjoy the beautiful, peaceful atmosphere this country farm has to offer!
Enjoy the nostalgic feeling of a summertime outing as you pick-your-own or indulge in the added convenience of an already picked product.
While you partake in the fruits of our labour, be sure to check out our home baked delights, jams and new to the farm, loose leaf teas.
And don’t forget to add your name to our mailing list for your handy, annual reminder of when our season starts!
Bring your lunch, relax & take advantage of our picturesque picnic area.
In the interest of food safety and the welfare of each and every visitor, we insist that pets be kept out of the field and away from the buildings.
OUR BERRIES Easy to Pick! While each variety varies slightly in berry size & colour, all of our varieties maintain excellent flavour and firmness.
As each of our varieties ripens at different times during our season to insure that you get the best quality of berry at its peak, we’ll personally find you a perfect spot in our field!
We are a full service farm! For your convenience, we provide the buckets & bags to pick into, the stool to sit on and transportation to and from the field if wanted or needed.
Did You Know? Did you know that Bittersweet is the second oldest blueberry farm in Southwestern Ontario?
Did you know that if properly cared for and under the right conditions, a blueberry bush can last for up to 50 years?
OUR FARM We Are Looking Forward to Your Visit!
A loyal customer or a new one, we’re always excited to have you visit us!
A few hours or a full day experience, either way we encourage you to relax and take advantage of our picnic area and beautiful grounds. To take a walk around our farm is to breathe in fresh air, bask in the peaceful environment while enjoying the sounds of nature and to delight in all our well maintained gardens just brimming with flowers.
We’re not a planned stop on your route? Well, whether you are heading to or from Port Burwell (Provincial Park), one of the 3 Golf Courses located within 25 minutes of Straffordville, or just passing through, stop in and enjoy all our farm has to offer!
